Aircraft Cabinet Technician

STS Technical Services is hiring an Aircraft Cabinet Technician in Moline, Illinois. This role supports aircraft interior fabrication, repair and refurbishment work, with a focus on cabinetry, divans, ledges and other wood-surfaced interior components. The ideal candidate brings strong craftsmanship, careful attention to detail and the ability to work accurately from shop drawings, blueprints and technical documentation. Position Overview The Aircraft Cabinet Technician will disassemble, fabricate, repair and reassemble aircraft cabinetry and interior components while maintaining precise fit, finish and workmanship standards. This position requires hands-on experience working with cabinetry and interior surfaces, including the removal, cutting, fitting and installation of laminate or veneer coverings. Responsibilities Disassemble aircraft cabinetry and interior components Reassemble cabinetry and interior components after repair or fabrication Fabricate aircraft cabinetry to required specifications Build divans, ledges and other wood-surfaced subassemblies Read and interpret shop drawings Read blueprints and technical documentation Remove existing laminate or veneer coverings Protect underlying substrates during removal work Measure laminate and veneer materials Cut, fit and trim coverings for precise installation Maintain a high-quality finished appearance Repair damaged cabinetry Repair aircraft interior panels Follow established standards and work instructions Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow applicable safety requirements Perform other duties as assigned Top Candidates Will Possess Ability to work effectively with experienced technicians Ability to provide calm and constructive guidance to junior team members Strong communication skills Ability to communicate clearly in routine work situations Strong organizational skills Strong attention to detail Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment Excellent craftsmanship Strong hands-on aptitude Commitment to producing high-quality work Proactive approach to improving processes and workmanship About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with leading aerospace, manufacturing, defense and industrial organizations across the United States.
