ADABAS DBA Fully Remote Long Term Contract Job Description: Maintain multiple ADABAS databases with experience in applying periodic patches, file modifications, and backup/recovery procedures. Experience with configuring, and maintaining SAG ADABAS replicator. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and administer multiple ADABAS databases in production and non-production environments. Apply periodic patches, upgrades, and file modifications to ADABAS environments. Perform backup, recovery, restore, and disaster recovery procedures. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Software AG (SAG) ADABAS Replicator. Monitor database performance, storage utilization, and system health. Support database migrations, refreshes, and environment cloning activities. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Work closely with infrastructure, application, and support teams for system integrations and issue resolution. Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and recovery plans. Ensure database security, compliance, and high availability standards are maintained. Required Skills: Strong experience as an ADABAS DBA in enterprise environments. Hands-on experience with Software AG ADABAS database administration. Experience with ADABAS Replicator configuration and maintenance. Expertise in backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery procedures. Experience applying patches, upgrades, and file modifications. Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Experience working on Unix/Linux and mainframe environments is preferred. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Natural programming environment. Knowledge of database replication and high-availability solutions. Experience supporting large-scale mission-critical applications. Prior experience in government, healthcare, finance, or enterprise environments is a plus.
