The Activity Assistant's primary objective is to lead planned activity programs and assist in achieving resident engagement that fulfills wellness dimensions of sensory, social, emotional, physical enrichment and spiritual sustenance. Duties and assignments may be adjusted at the discretion of the manager and/or designee. Develops awareness of residents' interests and needs in order to promote positive dining experiences, and recreational activities that encourage intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual sustenance. As a representative and team member of the company, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.

Schedule: FULL-TIME

  • 5 days a week
    • 3 weekdays plus Saturday & Sunday required

Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Pay Range $20.00 to $24.00, an hour depending on experience.

Must have previous experience in activity assistant role or working in skilled nursing

To be successful in this role, you would need:

  • 1+ years of experience in recreational activities required.
  • CPR certification required
  • Vocational/technical training that includes care of elderly with dementia desired; equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • High school Level diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge or experience is preferred.
