We have opportunities for a part-time Activity Assistant working three days per week in assisted living/skilled nursing. No early mornings or late nights. Earn at least $17/hour (more with experience) and participate in our part-time benefits, including paid time off, the employee assistance program, scholarship program, and much more.

Days: Thursday, Friday, occasionally Saturday

Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM generally, with some flexibility


Your work will include:

-Aiding residents in small or large-group activities

-Promoting resident interest in recreational activities such as arts/crafts, music, exercise, pet therapy, spiritual programs and resident socials

-Gearing activities to resident interest and capacity

-Providing 1-1 visits with residents who prefer a personal room setting

-Assisting in documentation of activities and patient participation

-Contributing to resident care planning

-Maintaining activity equipment and supplies

-Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

-Commitment to providing care, companionship, and excellent communication in a care setting

-High school diploma or GED

-Ability to read, write and speak English

-Ability to lift at least 25 pounds

-Mobility that allows for supporting our residents by pushing wheelchairs, bending, stooping and/or kneeling
