Activities

To assist and encourage residents to participate in social and recreational programs at the facility. Assist with the planning and implementation of the activity program.

• Assists in developing, planning, organizing and implementation of activity program and activities.

• Assists in decorating facility for holidays and themed events.

• Assists in planning weekly and monthly calendars.

• Assists residents with activities, individual and in group setting.

• Reminds residents of activities and encourages participations through personal invitation.

• Encourages residents to participate at their own level.

• Enable residents to engage in activities that enhance or maintain their quality of life.

• Empower residents to develop and maintain their intellectual, physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellness by horning resident preferences and choices.

• Set up the physical area as needed for the type of activity planned.

• Ensure that great room, activity areas, and activity storage areas are clean, neat and organized.

• Assist with indoor/outdoor plant care.

• Leads group resident activities (ex. exercise, bingo, etc.) and also works one-on-one activities.

• Obtains and develops new ideas from staff, residents and other resources.

• Maintain daily resident activity attendance records- trackers; daily, monthly & quarterly.

• Rotation of weekends and holidays is a requirement for this position.

• One year memory care/ health care experience preferred.

• Full time, every other weekend and holiday
