Accounts Payable Specialist Overland Park, KS Fully Onsite Full-Time Contract-to-Hire up to $28ph. LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization to identify a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role will play a key part in supporting the full-cycle accounts payable process while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong vendor relationships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process high-volume invoices, including 2-way and 3-way matching to purchase orders
Review and verify invoices for accuracy, coding, and proper approvals
Enter invoices into the accounting system and maintain accurate documentation
Manage weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships
Assist with credit card and expense report reconciliation
Support month-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliation activities
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
Experience with full-cycle AP processing
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.) preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
