Description: <p>Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for full-time Second (2nd) Shift Maintenance Technicians! As a Second (2nd) Shift Maintenance Technician, you will perform the maintenance of large production machinery while maintaining records of repairs.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines</li><li>Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary</li><li>Lubricates machines to ensure effective performance</li><li>Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts to be ordered</li><li>Installs replacement parts for machines</li><li>Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines</li><li>Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently</li><li>Use of CMMS for documenting work performed</li><li>Maintains a clean, organized, store room, and maintains shop areas, tools, and supplies</li><li>Coordinates with manager to schedule regular maintenance on machines</li><li>Collaborates with Maintenance manager regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required</li><li>Makes necessary modifications and testing equipment; confers with production manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required</li><li>Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><em><strong>Why the Maintenance Technician position is important to Alsum Farms and Produce: </strong></em>Poorly maintained resources can completely stop production & operations.
