It's designed to help patients recover from serious illness, injury, or surgery-especially those transitioning from intensive care. </p><ul><li> <strong>Specialized Rehab Services</strong>: Offers intensive therapy for conditions like <strong>stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, neurological disorders, amputation</strong>, and other complex conditions. </li><li> <strong>Therapy Intensity</strong>: Patients typically receive <strong>15 hours of therapy per week</strong>, guided by a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and therapists. </li><li><p> <strong>Modern Facility</strong>: Located on the first floor, the unit is equipped with advanced rehab equipment and designed to support recovery in a focused, patient-centered environment. </p><p> </p></li></ul><p> As a <strong>PRN</strong> <strong>Physical Therapist (PT) </strong>joining our team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier . Provides educational information to patients in regard to injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy and rehabilitation therapy. Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.<br> </p><p>Essential Functions<br>Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.<br>Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.<br>Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.<br>Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.<br>Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.<br>Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.<br>Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications.<br>Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.</p><p> <strong>Qualifications and requirements:</strong> <br>Education: Bachelor's Degree Required<br>Licenses: Physical Therapist License in Texas<br>Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 30 days of hire<br>Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
