2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Pay Range: $69,000 - $86,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034

Shift/Work Schedule: This position supervises the 2nd Shift which typically runs Monday-Friday from 3:00pm - 12:00am. Flexibility to work overtime & Saturday as needed to meet the needs of the business, and our customers, is required.

SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor is directly responsible for the overall management of the assigned department, including all aspects of current operation to ensure acceptable safety, housekeeping, quality, productivity, employee conduct and performance criteria are achieved. Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper orientations, training, development, compensation and working conditions are present.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for assigned department functions and all associated personnel.
• Responsible to appropriate staff and schedule departmental personnel to ensure production requirements are met while minimizing costs.
• Responsible for planning departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Observes and coaches personnel on work related issues.
• Ensures plant staff (Leads) enforces Company policies and procedures, plant wide safety rules and employee rules of conduct.
• Responsible for developing people, improving processes, reducing costs, quality monitoring & improvements, superior customer service, and on-time delivery.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, terminating, disciplining, and coaching employees.
• Participates in the Leadership Development Program (LDP) for the location.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Demonstrate MITER Brands Guiding Principles in all business interactions.
• Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read and interpret production specifications and drawings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software programs.
• Great interpersonal skills are essential to operate in and maintain a team environment.
• Great communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum two (2) to three (3) years' production leadership experience.
• Prior employee management experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• May be required to frequently lift to 50 lbs. Depending on the job.
• Hand dexterity and strength.
• Prolonged sitting and terminal use.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Primarily operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.

• Full-time position with standard working hours; occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
• Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations.
