<p><b>Twinsburg City Schools</b></p><p><b>1:1 with student</b></p><p><b>6 hours a day </b></p><p><b>Monday-Thursday</b></p><p><br></p><p>Summary:<br></p><p>The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) provides continuous observation and individual care for a group of patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.</p><p>Responsibilities:<br></p><p>1. Provide continuous, one-on-one observation and monitoring of assigned patients.</p><p>2. Provide evidence-based de-escalation interventions</p><p>3. Maintain a safe environment for self, patients and others</p><p>4. Remain alert and attentive at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient.</p><p>5. Provide direct patient care such as vital signs and transporting patients to other departments as delegated by and under the supervision of a licensed nurse.</p><p>6. Stock linens and supplies </p><p>7. Document observations, interventions, and any pertinent information accurately and in a timely manner within EPIC</p><p>8. Prioritize and execute task for the assigned patients in a timely and efficient manner </p><p>9. Alert nursing staff promptly to any signs of distress, discomfort, or changes in the patient's condition.</p><p>10. Maintain a calm and professional presence for the patient and their family members.</p><p>11. Follow all hospital or facility protocols and procedures related to patient observation and safety.</p><p>12. Other duties as assigned. </p><p>Other information:<br></p><p><b>Technical Expertise</b></p><p>1. Knowledge of and experience in medical terminology preferred.</p><p>2. Experience working in healthcare environment is preferred.</p><p>3. Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.</p><p>4. Experience working in an electronic medical record (i.e. EPIC) or similar software is preferred.</p><p><b></b></p><p><b>Education and Experience</b></p><p>1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required</p><p>2. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) training from the American Heart Association is required.</p><p>4. Years of relevant experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience is preferred</p><p>5.
