This senior-level role is based at a shipyard in Bourg, LA, with responsibilities spanning both yard maintenance and on-site vessel support. </p><p> We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude. </p><p> <br> </p> <strong>Pay Range</strong> <p> $25 - $50 per hour (based on experience) </p><p> <br> </p> <strong>Benefits</strong> <p></p><ul><li><p>Paid Time Off (PTO)</p></li><li><p>Medical coverage</p></li><li><p> Retirement plan </p><p> <br> </p></li></ul> <strong>Required Qualifications</strong> <p></p><ul><li><p>Minimum <strong>10 years of experience</strong> in friction crane mechanics</p></li><li><p>At least <strong>5 years of hydraulic crane experience</strong></p></li><li><p>Master-level troubleshooting skills for mobile and pedestal-mounted cranes</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of <strong>OSHA 1926 Subpart CC</strong> regulations</p></li><li><p> Ability to read and interpret: </p><ul><li><p>Hydraulic schematics</p></li><li><p>Electrical diagrams</p></li></ul></li><li><p> Physically capable of: </p><ul><li><p>Lifting heavy components</p></li><li><p>Working at heights and in confined spaces</p></li></ul></li><li><p> Valid driver's license and ability to travel to vessels or job sites </p><p> <br> </p></li></ul> <strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong> <p></p><ul><li><p><strong>NCCCO Crane Inspector</strong> certification or similar credentials</p></li><li><p>Shipyard or offshore construction experience</p></li><li><p>Welding and fabrication skills</p></li><li><p> TWIC card </p><p> <br> </p></li></ul> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> <p></p><ul><li><p>Diagnose and repair complex <strong>mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems</strong> on heavy lift cranes (e.g., Clyde, Dravo, American, Manitowoc, Link-Belt, Liebherr)</p></li><li><p> Perform full overhauls of: </p><ul><li><p>Engines</p></li><li><p>Winches</p></li><li><p>Clutches</p></li><li><p>Gearboxes</p></li><li><p>Swing drives</p></li><li><p>Booms</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure safety and minimize downtime</p></li><li><p>Interpret technical manuals, load charts, schematics, and OEM documentation</p></li><li><p>Maintain detailed service records in compliance with <strong>USCG, OSHA, and API</strong> standards</p></li><li><p>Supervise and mentor junior mechanics and apprentices</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with vendors and OEM technicians for parts and major repairs</p></li><li><p>Ensure all work meets company safety standards and procedures</p></li><li><p> Respond to emergency breakdowns in the yard, field, or aboard vessels </p><p><br></p></li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?VLZOTqi4qhwCcm6VHuNM4qidJxqc1Apst" width="0" height="0" />
