We're seeking skilled and experienced <b>Journeyman welders </b>to join an exciting project in Louisville, KY. These positions are available for both local and per diem workers. <b>You must be willing to travel to Louisville, KY for approximately one year.</b> Details are below:<br><br> As a journeyman welder, you will be expected to plan, lay-out, weld, install, test and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes and industry standards.<br><br> <b>Markets Hiring: </b> Louisville, KY <br><br> <b> Workers from anywhere in the continental US can work on this project as long as they are willing to be in Louisville for 1 year.</b> <br><br> <b>Salary Range</b>: $38 - $42 per hour + $105/day per diem for anyone outside of 50 miles from the jobsite. <b>Nightshift earns +$1 per hour.</b><br><br> <b>Shift: </b>Five 10 hour shifts per week.<br><br> <b>Benefits: </b> <ul><li> 401(k) </li><li> Dental insurance</li><li> Health insurance</li><li> Vision insurance</li><li> Paid time off</li><li> Life insurance</li><li> Accidental death & dismemberment insurance</li></ul> <b>Qualifications</b> <ul><li> May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.</li><li> Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.</li><li> Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.</li><li> Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools</li></ul> <b>Requirements</b> <ul><li> The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl</li><li> Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions</li><li> Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required</li><li> May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds</li><li> Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces</li><li> Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment</li><li> May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site</li><li> Must have required tools</li><li> Must pass RMD weld test with quality</li><li> Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required</li><li> Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing</li></ul> <b>Here's what you'll be doing: </b> <ul><li> Plan, diagram and lay-out for pipe welder's work</li><li> Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations</li><li> Position the weld set up, fit the piping and perform welds involving a high degree of precision independently</li><li> Lay-out, and assemble pipes accurately and according to production standards, quality requirements, safety<br><br> requirements, code, design, and specifications</li><li> Make welding repairs and substandard welds</li><li> Assist with coordination of any Pre-Fabrication layout or installation</li><li> Assist with rigging of material</li><li> Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools and equipment</li><li> Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to<br><br> perform a work activity.</li><li> Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and<br><br> explain and take any corrective action needed.</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?8oLC%2fwVESyA%2feOdVhEHf5mzCM5SzOmXxn" width="0" height="0" />
